For over three decades, Amiata Records has created projects where music meets research, culture and the moving image.
From Synaulia – Music of Ancient Rome, its pioneering project of experimental music archaeology, to Magnificat for the Vatican’s Jubilee 2000; from major international publishing projects to music featured in films such as Gladiator, The Talented Mr. Ripley and The Village, Amiata has always explored territories beyond conventional record production.
With two Grammy Award nominations and international recognition across Europe and the US, Amiata continues to pursue the same vision that has guided it since 1992: to discover new territories through sound.

Alongside historically informed interpretations, the series embraces pioneering research in experimental music archaeology, exemplified by Synaulia – Music of Ancient Rome, Amiata’s acclaimed project dedicated to reconstructing the instruments and soundscape of the Roman world.
