Matteo Silva is an ethnomusicologist, curator of prestigious musical series  and producer of an infinite number of musical projects spread over the years, especially with the record label Amiata Records. Born in Ulm, Germany, and raised in Montagnola,Lugano, Switzerland,  Matteo Silva studied composition at the Giuseppe Verdi conservatory in Milan with Niccolò Castiglioni and philosophy at Ca’ Foscari, Venice, with Emanuele Severino. For the record companies Wergo, Naïve and Amiata Records he produced over 180 records in the USA, Germany, France and Italy and above all in Asia.

Among the artists produced: Arvo Pärt, Terry Riley, Steve Reich, Sainkho, Ustad Nishat Khan, the Mancuso Brothers, the Faraualla, Sangita Badhyopadhnay, Michael Vetter, Hans Otte, Gabin Dabiré, the Club Musical Oriente Cubano, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, the monks of the Tibetan monastery of Sera, the Bauls of Bengal.

The meeting conducted by Christian Gilardi is a long interview, in four parts, which traces the career of Matteo Silva, through his stories about musicians, travels and passions but above all the music that this producer recorded in more than thirty years of activity.
