A Man of Heart: Music from India

The Bauls, migrant yogis and musicians of Bengal, incarnate one of the oldest, most fascinating religious and artistic traditions of India. Little known outside Bengal, often from the lowest social strata, they were rediscovered by the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore who considered their lyrics among the peaks of Indian civilisation. This digital recording is an amazing and rare musical testimony of a living yogic culture offered by the great singer Subal Das Baul and his group.
